My Newest Venture Has Begun!

Well, it has begun! Together with my bestest friend, Katy Langford, we have created a MONSTER! Our new, very own Etsy shop! We have ventured out into the wild blue yonder in search of freedom to raise our children while staying at home and working. So, we created an Etsy shop to sell our wares.

It is called 4 Hands; 2 Hearts. Kind of a play on our working hands, and 2 loving hearts... visit our little shop at this url... www.4handsand2hearts.etsy.com . We are just getting started, so we only have 4 products so far, but bear with us! It's gonna be a great place to go! We are planning on offering the following products...

Fluffy Flip Flops
Hand-painted Picture Frames
Handcrafted purses for women and girls
Original Art Prints
Novelty Painted Drawer Knobs
Door and Wall Plaques
Painted and Decoupaged Tile Coaster Sets
Multimedia Canvas Art Pieces
Girl's Hair Bows

and lots more! :)

Stay tuned for updates.

It Has Been WAAAAAAY Too LONG!

Hello All!

It has been WAY too long since I've posted on here. I have to get better at this blogging thing! I guess with being a stay at home/work at home mom, you can't expect too much! lol! My boys are young, but growing every day, so I have to keep telling myself to enjoy every minute of what I have!

My new website is up! I still have products to add and pages to update, but at least it's up! I switched my host from Freewebs to GoDaddy, and I have to say that I'm thrilled with the difference in customer service and how quickly the site updates. It is WELL worth the pain of switching and the extra $4 a month! :)

I have also joined forces with a friend of mine to create more "crafty" type products and we've decided to give our little business venture a name. We're calling it 4 Hands; 2 Hearts. Kinda catchy, don't you think? We're planning on doing local craft shows and eventually post some of our items online. We're offering customized purses, furry flip flops, painted drawer knobs, painted picture frames, wall art, personalized door plaques, and more. I'll post some pictures as soon as we get some things finished. This little venture will hopefully help the both of us! She's desperate to stay home with her kids, and I wouldn't mind a little extra income too! :)

Well, hopefully I can keep up with this blog a bit better now, so keep checking back... I'll leave you with some great blogs and sites I have discovered. Also check out my new Zazzle shop. I'm planning on posting a few things on Etsy when I get a chance also.

www.dudadaze.blogspot.com - I discovered this talented lady last week and can't get enough of her beautiful work and inspired designs. Check her out! She has several shops where you can purchase her original work and art prints. They're well worth the time to look and the $$$ to buy!

www.zazzle.com/HeartStringsDesigns - This is my humble little shop. I haven't got much on there yet, but I'm planning on adding a bunch more when I get the time! (I'm really laughing hard now... when I get the time... what am I thinking? lol! )

Hope you have a Blessed Day!

Christmas is a week away! Are YOU ready?

Wow! It's Tuesday, and Christmas is a week away! Can you believe it? I'm both thrilled and panicky!

I still have all my presents to wrap, one last present to buy, and a couple stocking stuffers to get for my hubby! Yes, I am procrastinating this year. Usually I'd have all this done by now but I've been busy with the boys. Having a baby and a preschooler is LOTS of work!

Well, hopefully by the first month of the next year, I'll be able to focus more on promoting this blog and my "new" updated website for Heart Strings Designs. I'm debating on whether to start the new year off with a new name, too. What do you think?

Since my new focus is going to be more about graphic design and original stationery for SALE on the site instead of just custom design, I was thinking about changing the name to tiny turtle designs, or mabe just using my main name of Heart Strings Designs and naming collections under the tiny turtle design name. Like the company is Heart Strings Designs, but the stationery designs are sold under "tiny turtle collection" by Heart Strings Designs... any thoughts?

I know, it may make it more complicated, but I think I may want to keep my printed designs separate from my digital products. Who knows... I'll do more research and come back to it. Mabe later I'll have a contest for naming my collections. Anyhoo..... back to Christmas.

In the spirit of giving and the holiday season, I will offer my new graphic set "Gingerbread Giggles" to the first 25 people who send me an email through my website www.heartstringsdesignsonline.com . You'll receive an email with a link to where you can download the zip file. These graphics are the highest quality and are resizable. The backgrounds are in .jpg format and are 300 dpi, and the other graphics are in .png format and are also 300 dpi.

I will also offer a free desktop wallpaper to all that visit this page. Click on the link below in order to download the freebie! Hope you enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

Lots of Love,

Kari

My Newest Discovery

Hello again!

I just wanted to share in my newest discovery of Photoshop Brushes! Anyone who is familiar with Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements probably knows about the wonderful world of brushes, but since I'm a beginning digital scrapbook designer, it's new to me!

These brushes are wonderful to use as "digital stamps" or templates and/or enhancements to your own designs. I wanted to share a couple of my website discoveries that offer free brush downloads!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and hopefully soon I'll have my own set of freebies to offer you! Happy brushing!
